{ I must give the impression that I have the answers for everything } Eridan_x_reader_one_shot__heart_out_to_sea_by_stridersgonnastride4-d6ottxz

Name: This creature's name is Eridan Cronus Ampora.

Gender: Eridan is assuredly a male, but his lower half is a fish tail.

Birthday and Age: Eridan was born January 23, 1999. He's fifteen years old, an Aquarius, and his Zodiac is the rabbit.

Hair: Eridan has wavy black hair that he slicks back. There is also a large purple stripe in the middle of his hair that he absolutely loves as well as a purple iridescence to his hair.

Eyes: Eridan's eyes are a piercing and dark shade of violet. They're quite stunning, actually and generally hold a look of anger or agitation. He has rather poor vision, so he wear specially designed glasses gifted to him by his father.

Skin Tone: Eridan doesn't have much color, but his skin does have a violet tint to it. However, his tail is something to look at. It's rather long and it's main color is black but it has purple scales covering it as well. It ends in a flowing black membrane in the style of a beta fish's. It looks something like this fish:
    Spoiler:

Body Type: Eridan is quite thin but slightly built due to swimming his entire life.

Height and Weight: Eridan, from the top of his head to his tail, is 6'. However, 3'7" of that 6 feet is his tail. He doesn't know how much he actually weighs, but for the purpose of this form, he weighs about 120 pounds.

Godly Parentage: Eridan's godly father is Triton, the fish-tailed sea god who was the messenger of the sea. That's where he gets his fish tail and other mermanly attributes.

Mortal Parentage: Eridan's mother isn't actually a mortal. She's a naiad. The naiad Melite, who was the naiad mother to Heracles's son Hyllus.

Country of Origin and Birthplace: Eridan wasn't born on land and has never actually been on land. But, he was born in the Loire River close to the city of Tours in France and does actually speak with a French accent.

Pets: Eridan doesn't have a pet. He lives underwater and befriends the marine life occassionally but he can't take them with him on his travels because of the freshwater/saltwater. Eridan befriends seahorses really quickly though and doesn't like cuddlefish.

Talents/Skills: Eridan is very clever and smart and extraordinarily good at getting what he wants. He a very good actor as well. Not in a theatrical sense, but in a sense of convincing people that he's feeling something he's not. He's a very fast swimmer given he's been doing it sense birth practically.

Flaws: Eridan is a bit of what some may call a drama-queen and is very cynical and pessimistic. He's very quick to anger and is angry for a rather long time after he is made mad. He's also kind of a tool and can't sense when he's just being used most of the time. Eridan is a terrible romantic and openly despises what he calls "land-dwellers". Eridan is also can't be above water for an extended period of time and can die from an extremely long exposure above water.

Powers: Eridan doesn't have powers, technically, unless being a merman and all of it's attributes are considered a power. He can breathe underwater, if you were curious.

Weapon: Eridan uses a double-sided celestial bronze trident that measures 6'3". Yeah, it's pretty long.

History: Eridan has lived a mostly peaceful life. Born in a river in France, his mother stayed with him until he was 4 years old. She taught him most of what he knows in those years. including her plans for him to go to Camp Half-Blood when he was a certain age. Eridan didn't understand at the time, but would later know what she was talking about. Eridan grew up pretty healthily, never staying in quite the same place for too long. As he was growing up, he'd search for school near the water of wherever he was (given he travelled around Europe) and find kids around his age who could tutor him for the time he was allotted by advice his mother had given him before she left. Among the kids he chose to help him were a smart and rather sarcastic girl named Rose, another clever but backstabbing girl named Serket, a rather nerdy boy named Josh, and a boy too cool for his own good named Dirk. There were more but those were the ones he noted with special fondness. They weren't just tutors but friends as well. He even broke his mother's rules for them and stayed a considerably longer amount of time with them.

Eridan, at 10 years old, knew his free-time was running out and that he would have to go to the camp his mother told him about soon. When he turned 12, his mother actually spent her time tracking him down to find him. After a while, she finally managed to as Eridan arrived back at the Loire River to see his birthplace one more time. Merite was excited to see him and Eridan was very happy to see her. After a brief but loving and informative conversation with his mother, she escorted him to Camp Half-Blood much against his will.

During the time when his mother was absent, Eridan has started to develop a burning hatred for the land-dwellers with the exceptions of his tutors. They were his friends, but then again many villains planning on wiping out a race had ties with said race and would just get over them, he'd remind himself time and time again. He still carries that hatred and doesn't wish all too much to be at Camp Half-Blood due to all the ignorant and idiotic land-dwellers that he hates so much. However, he promised his mother that he'd stay there until the proper age and does not want to disobey his mother as he knows there will be consequences.

Role-Playing example: Eridan grumbled to himself as he swam through a narrow passage in the forest that lead to the lake. He had just had a very bad confrontation with a few Ares kids. One of them had actually jabbed a javelin at his tail, thinking he was a giant fish. He knew they had realized he wasn't a fish before they stabbed him but they didn't care. This only made him hate the ignoramus land-dwellers even more than he already did. Eridan bared his pointed teeth in a scowl as he rushed to find help, his violet blood streaming in the water behind him. The wound hurt really badly and the blood was scaring him. He hated not having access to the infirmary, but he was proud not to be a land-dweller. Eridan rushed to as close to the shore as he could, opting for an Apollo kid preferably to see him. Luckily, someone did and upon further investigation, the kid ended up being a daughter of Apollo. Eridan briefly though that not all land-dwellers at the camp were so bad. The child healed him and he thanked her graciously before darting back into the lake, the sun and air already taking their toll on the poor merman.

    Anything else about your character?:
Eridan's teeth are pointy, his fingers are webbed, his ears are like fish-fins. he was gills, he has violet blood, and he always wears a scarf, despite being a mermaid. It's a special and quite frankly magical fabric that doesn't actually get wet. The scarf was a present from his mother upon her return to him to take him to camp.

Ah, but even we as humans have them. All humans instinctively know how to swim when they are born. I watched a really long, two-part, documentary on mermaids and there was a lot of interesting stuff. One of the things included was that fact above. Plus, the webs would be mainly helpful in his swimming, like how they function in humans as well. Although, if you're still iffy about it, then alright, I'll edit it out.
